The Phoenix Flames was initially created for the older members of BJSO who were not quite ready to go into the Phoenix Youth Orchestra, now it welcomes all musicians of about Grade 4 standard. Our Conductor: The conductor is Liz Hosford. She is a professional double bass player and also a skilled pianist and flautist, who has plenty of energy and enthusiasm and exactly the right approach for a trainee youth orchestra. Rehearsals: The orchestra will rehearse on Friday evenings of the term from 5.15pm to 7.00pm at the Brentwood Ursuline Convent High School in Queens Road, Brentwood. Like the Youth Orchestra they have break in the middle of their rehearsal to allow time for socialising (the Youth Orchestra tuck shop is open). In addition to the Friday evenings there is one Sunday workshop a term. Fees are £52 per term, to be paid by Standing Order |  Current documents:
