About us

Brentwood's Orchestras for Young Musicians is a group of eight orchestras of varying ages and abilities. Our common bind is our love of music and how much we enjoy playing together.  We are a registered charity and our Trustees are led by Ann Elderton (Chairperson), Geraldine Woollatt (Secretary to the Trustees) and Nello Santinelli (Treasurer).  Our Administrator is Liz Seward who can be contacted at boym@btinternet.com.

We have over 200 members aged between 5-19 and many members are in more than one group.

Concerts

Every orchestra is involved in at least 2 concerts each year. Most of our concerts are at Brentwood's Ursuline Convent High School, however we also perform at St Thomas' in Brentwood, Brentwood Cathedral, Holly Trees Primary School and Bishops Hall. Some of our orchestras have been involved with Music For Youth National Festival in London and we held a large scale Gala Concert at Chelmsford Civic Theatre on 29th March 2009, hosted by Aled Jones.

SchoolWhere we meet

We practice at the Brentwood Ursuline Convent High School, which is on Queen's Road in Brentwood, very near the High Street.
